This 103-year-old letter from Albert Einstein to Marie Curie tells the nuclear physicist, in far more elegant terms, to ignore her critics and continue on with her great work.
My favourite line? "If the rabble continues to occupy itself with you, then simply don't read that hogwash, but rather leave it to the reptile for whom it has been fabricated."
The note was published free online this week, along with thousands of other pieces of Einstein's writing, as part of the open-access Digital Einstein Papers project. The project aims to help disseminate the extensive written legacy of one of the greatest minds in physics to the public.
So next time you're feeling attacked, just remember that even Einstein would tell you to ignore the trolls and keep doing you.
