Felicity Nelson is a science journalist with an interest in frogs and stars and everything in between.

After departing university with a first-class honours degree in tropical wildlife biology, Felicity worked with ScienceAlert as an intern, then went to work at Lawyers Weekly as a journalist.

She then switched to medical journalism, working with The Medical Republic for several years.

During that time, three of her features were published in The Best Australian Science Writing anthologies and her investigative stories were co-published with Guardian Australia. She became The Medical Republic’s Chief Operating Officer in 2020.

In May 2022, Felicity went freelance, founding a science writing and strategy consulting company called Frogs and Stars.

She loves nature photography, reading and sunsets.
