In one of the most charming song parodies we've seen in years, NASA interns have recorded this adorable version of Meghan Trainor's hit song "All About That Bass".

No, it's not hard science, but sometimes you just need a little enthusiasm for human ingenuity and space exploration to pick you up.

The ode to the newly launched Orion spacecraft, which is planned to eventually take humans to Mars, was written by volunteers in NASA's Pathways Internship, and the awkward dance moves were filmed around the Johnson Space Centre. And it's completely adorable and catchy.

In more good news for NASA, the space agency will be receiving more money than it asked for in 2015, with the House of Representatives last week passing a bill to raise its budget to US$18 billion next year.

Watch the tribute above, and feel a little more hopeful about the world.
