The Opportunity
As Health Content Producer, you'll direct and host exclusive video content for ScienceAlert. This is a paid role where you'll be contracted to produce video content for health stories on a freelance basis.
The Brief: You will be responsible for providing short, personality-led videos in collaboration with our editorial team, for distribution on ScienceAlert's Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and X channels.
Reach & Impact: ScienceAlert reaches 30 million people per month across our website, newsletter, and growing social channels. Beyond content creation, this role is about driving the conversation – interacting with our audience, responding to comments, and building meaningful relationships within the science and health community.

2. Record your audition video
Turn the article into a 60 second video in your own unique style. Please start your video by stating "This is my submission to the ScienceAlert Casting Call" .
3. Publish on YouTube
You can choose to publish the video to your public channel or keep it Unlisted. Please ensure it isn't set to Private so our selection team can access the link.
4. Tell us why you're the perfect fit for our team
In the YouTube video description add the hashtag, #ScienceAlertCastingCall and tell us in 100 words or less:
- Why you chose this story.
- What sparks your curiosity for science.

We don't need a news reader; we're looking for a host!
Show us your energy, your editing style, and how you make complex science feel human. Most importantly, there's no room for pseudoscience. ScienceAlert is all about fact-checked scientific information and sharing evidence-based health stories.
