Our Team

Esra Öz is a science journalist and science communicator with 19 years of experience covering science, health, and technology. She studied biology and radio and television programming, and later earned a master’s degree in science communication from Ankara University. Over the years, she has worked as a reporter and editor across digital, television, and print media, as well as on European Union and United Nations projects.

Her work has appeared in Science, New Scientist, CNN Türk, Forbes Türkiye, Inside Turkey, and Independent Türkçe. She has written three books and was selected for The Open Notebook’s Sharon Dunwoody Mentoring Program and as a Science Journalism Forum fellow.

Outside work, Esra enjoys reading, films, Pilates, keeping up with AI, and spending time with her very opinionated little bird, Fındık.
