Michael Irving is a science journalist and copy editor who joined ScienceAlert in 2024. His childhood obsession with dinosaurs came roaring back in adulthood, joined by fascinations with astronomy and physics. He’s written for New Atlas, Stack magazine, Kotaku, Hyper, Cracked, The Chaser, and Cards Against Humanity.

Michael completed Bachelors of Arts in both Professional Writing and Games Design, before writing about games, then technology, then science. And occasionally comedy and children’s fiction.
